Jelena Jankovic is one of the most outgoing and successful players on the World Tour. She loves to court publicity and do photoshoots looking like a film star. But there is one thing she will never do – pose nude in Playboy magazine. In 2008 she was offered £300,000 to pose for them but she firmly turned down the offer.

The sexy Serb said “I’m not the type of person who could expose their naked body in public. My family would not be happy and I would not feel comfortable showing intimate parts of my body. I wouldn’t pose naked even if my position as World Number 1 depended on it.”
Jankovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia on February 28th, 1985, and her highest ranking was in 2008 when she reached Number 1 in the World. That was her best year when she reached the Final of the US Open and the Semi-Finals of the Paris and Australian Opens.
Jankovic is one of the most popular players on and off the court and she has been awarded many accolades.
She was one of the first four recipients of the 2010 Federation Cup by BNP Paribas Heart Award. Following the Federation Cup ties on February 10 players were shortlisted by the Heart Award judging panel in four categories and the winners were decided by public vote.
Each winner received a silver bracelet and a cheque to be donated to a chosen charity. The award is a joint initiative by the International Tennis Federation and BNP Paribas and aims to recognize players who have represented their country with distinction, showed exceptional courage on the court, and demonstrated outstanding commitment to their team.
Chew Orbit has chosen Jankovic to be its Smile Ambassador for the territory of Serbia. It is the first time that Orbit has appointed a brand new Ambassador in Serbia and she was selected for her beautiful and dazzling smile which is as famous as her sporting prowess. She is now starring in the latest Orbis chewing gum television advertisement which is showing in Serbia.
On February 24th, 2008 she won the Best European Award for the field of sports which is given by the non Governmental organization The First European House in Belgrade.
Jankovic also has her star in the sky which was bought for her by her sponsor Knjaz Milos Company and its brand Aqua Viva to show her how much they admire the Queen of Tennis. The star is named JJ which shines in SC2 Hercules Constellation in the North Polar region.
Jankovic has several interests outside tennis. On December 5th, 2007 UNICEF appointed her National Ambassador for Serbia to promote the rights of children and collect funds and she has designed a new clothing range called “The One” for the Serbian fashion design company Mona. It is intended for glamorous, sophisticated, and trendy women.
She is accompanied to all her matches around the world by her mother Snezana Jankovic and her long-term boyfriend joins her when he can. She met Water Polo Player Mladen Janovic at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and they were voted Number 3 in the Top Ten Tennis Couples.
