She is the feisty, gutsy, determined Danish player who was criticised for the length of her Stella McCartney dress at the U.S. Open 2010.
Her designer dresses are all the same style and are called the Stella McCartney Performance Dress for Adidas. They are different colours and the one she wore at Flushing Meadow was a figure-hugging very dark green dress that barely covered her legs. The net top clearly showed off Stella McCartney's new bright yellow sports bar.
When she was asked about it at the post-match press conference she said "I think it is very nice, and it will get me a lot of male fans."
She takes her tennis very seriously and her ambition is to win her first Grand Slam. She had a very successful 2010 ending up winning six WTA titles, the most on the tour. She has also had a meteoric rise in the rankings in the last 18 months, going from Number 5 in mid 2009 to World Number 1 as of October 2010.
She is the first Danish woman to have achieved that ranking and is only the 5th player to reach that rank without ever winning a Grand Slam title.
Whilst playing in the semi finals of the Family Circle Cup in Charleston against Vera Zvonareva she rolled her ankle while chasing a ball and was forced to retire. Her injury was cited as serious but despite the ongoing injury she continued to play the clay court season although she suffered continuous losses.
Despite her poor record she was seeded 3 in the French Open and reached the 4th round without dropping a set. She took nearly 3 hours to beat Italian player Flavia Pennetta 7-6 (5)/(4) 6-7and 6-2 to reach the quarter finals, but she lost to eventual champion Francesca Schiavone.
She secured her year-end World Number 1 in Doha at the Sony Ericsson Championships when she lost in the final to Kim Clijsters in three sets.
Her most enjoyable win of the year was in her home country of Denmark, when she won the 2010 e-books Danish Open, the tournament where she has a growing number of fans who turn up to support her.
Wozniacki has a $70 million contract with Nike and off court she likes glamour. For evening and special events she chooses strapless mini dresses and when she appeared on a chat show in Denmark she chose a striking black and white mini dress with long sleeves and knee-length black boots, Her blonde hair flowed free over her shoulders.
In 2009 she was made the exclusive face of the new Stella McCartney line for Addidas.
Despite her glamorous appearance she is a very shrewd business woman. She has launched a successful line of beauty products, shampoos, lotions and scrubs called "Caroline Wozniacki - Love All" and she has been very involved in the design herself, the products contain green tea but no parabens.
