Andy Murray Out to copy Federer - Oct-05

Murray is aiming to boost his prospects for next summer’s Wimbledon by having a greater controlling over his temperament and boost his mental strength.

Andy wishes his tennis could meet all his ambitions when on court. Therefore, he is following Roger Federer’s example of greater mental toughness while on the tennis court, Murray hopes this will help boost his tennis and ranking further.

After Murray’s excellent display at the Thailand Open 2005 reaching the final to play Roger Federer his ranking climbed to number 72 in the world. ‘You have to be yourself on court because you think better that way’. Andy Murray has moved up 350 places since the start of the year.

Murray is looking to practice playing at the net more often and improve his shot selection for the 2006 tennis season.
